Basic Facts: If your requirement doesn't meet voltage stated above, still you can use this capacitor. Example- Suppose you need 16volt or 25volt capacitor than you may also use 63volt capacitor. (not applicable in case of timer related designs). Voltage needed should be less than equal to the voltage stated. Example- If circuit operates at 5volt then you can use capacitor of voltage double then operational voltage of circuit, i.e. 10volt in this case.
