A temperature sensor is a device that is used to measure and detect changes in temperature. It converts temperature variations into electrical signals, allowing temperature to be monitored and controlled in various applications. Thermocouples: These sensors use the principle of the Seebeck effect to measure temperature. They consist of two dissimilar metals that generate a voltage proportional to the temperature difference between their junctions.

Resistance Temperature Detectors (RTDs): RTDs are based on the principle that the electrical resistance of a metal increases with temperature. They typically use platinum as the sensing element.

Thermistors: Thermistors are temperature-sensitive resistors that exhibit a large change in resistance with temperature. They can be classified as either positive temperature coefficient (PTC) or negative temperature coefficient (NTC) thermistors.

Semiconductor-based Sensors: These sensors utilize the temperature-dependent characteristics of semiconductor materials, such as diodes or integrated circuits, to measure temperature.
